Hubei Shiyan-Manchuanguan Highway Project (Loan No. 47450-CHA)
Project loan Description
The objectives of the Project are to improve the highway network infrastructure to sustain socio-economic development in Hubei province, especially in western lesser developed areas, contribute to the unlocking of China western lagging provinces and improve the management of roads and traffic safety in Hubei.
The project includes the following three components: expressway linking Shiyan to Manchuanguan at the northwest border of Hubei with Shaanxi province; a program of improvements of local roads in less developed areas of Hubei province; and institutional strengthening, reform and road traffic safety initiatives.
